Hey! I did some rearranging today and wanted to share my tall doll I got back before Christmas....She normally holds a big gingerbread man that came with her, but i tucked one of my peacock pinkeeps in her arms and moved her over by my early blue fabrics in the gathering room....I was so fortunate to get her after the Simple Goods show from Jackie of T.F.C. Folkart....I got her and a black santa...When I saw the antique blue coverlet that their clothing was made from I just had to have them, but I figured I would be too late...I couldn't believe it when she messaged me back and told me they were mine...Yeah!

So, I'm leaving her out and just put my santa up, and I'm going to enjoying adding new things for her to hold this year....:)

It was getting dark, but I snapped some pics with and without the flash....

I do know that Jackie sells the pattern for her if anyone wants to make them one...

That is what it is...A common sense law..It's not gun control...It's about keeping guns locked up so children can't get them....Telling a child that they are never to touch your loaded gun that is under your bed is NOT ENOUGH!! Will you please read and sign? For Little Rob? To protect any children?....A parent should NEVER have to worry about their child going to a friend's home and NEVER coming home...That is my family's reality....Especially my brother and sister-in-law's...13 year old Little Rob will never come home.....

I've been playing around today with my old 1800's fabrics....I bought 3 ladders back in November from Janet's shop...When I saw them I knew they'd be perfect to display my fabrics....I couldn't enjoy them with them stacked up unless I went through them....So, I spent the afternoon going through my bigger pieces and hanging them on the ladders and the big display rack i already had that I unfolded to give more display room...How I wonder if my grandmothers had dresses made from these blues...Oh, how I wish I had them or a piece of them if they did....So, what are y'all up to this new year????

I just finished my first sampler of the year....It is an **Elizabeth's Garden** design...I have had the pattern for years and have stitched it several times but not in this size that it will fit a 8" x 10" frame.....It took 8 days to do it with alot of movie watching....I have many new things planned from old patterns I've collected through the year....I can't wait!!

Hi everyone...I'm up late working on the house...Normally by now I would have all my Christmas taken down and given the house a good New Years cleaning, but this year it is still up....I was asked to have my home in a Christmas book next year, so I have been taking my time photographing many pics to go through....That is why I haven't shown but a few Christmas pictures on here this year..

I have a "Cabin On The Hill" tart melting in my tart burner so the house smells soooooo good!!! I'm busy working on laundry, rearranging some things, and taking some night time pictures....Have ya'll taken your Christmas down yet?

I've already started working on some new samplers and projects, joined a selling group, and making plans for new things this new year....No resolutions here, just simple little changes....And thanking HIM for another year....Are you ready for New Years?...I'm ready for a new year...With the promise of hope, faith, and new adventures....

Thirty years ago I lost the boy that held my heart and a year ago today I lost my 13 yr old nephew....I know they are with the LORD....Two that were so young and hadn't begun their lives, but I know the heartache of the ones here that miss them....Until we meet again I know you are playing baseball with Papa Ross and Mr. Jim coaching....I miss you all that have held my heart!!! I THANK GOD for him placing you in my life for as long or short of a time you were meant to be here....LOVE to you always and I know you will be there to meet me when it is my time to leave this earthly home.......

This is a hard Christmas...Please include in your prayers families that are missing loved ones...This is our 1st Christmas that my 13 yr old nephew was not with us last weekend as we gathered at my parent's home...He was so missed and at times the heartache was too much....

Hold your loved ones close and tell them you love them....Please include my brother and sister-in-law in your prayers along with our entire family.....

Oh, my! I'm still here!!!!....I apologize that I haven't been on here in so long...It has been crazy lately starting with the whole family being home the week of Thanksgiving with the exception of Taylor working...But she was out of school along with Luke all week and Tim had the week off from work also....A busy week and then I started preparing for the Christmas at the Old Depot in 96, SC.....I had 2 weeks to get things made....Then I was preparing for Taylor's 2nd surgery.....And the day before that I fell and hit my head HARD...I had to take a day of practically being still and doing as little as possible and then several days of moving slowly....I felt off for a week and had a really sore head with a huge knot on it...I still have part of one left, but not as sore...Needless to say it scared me!!!!! But I'm A OK now....:) And Taylor's surgery went smoothly this time and hopefully this was the last one...

I wanted to share some random pictures from the Christmas show this weekend with you....I think these are from Ann Kuehn's booth as I came in the train depot....

I have some last Christmas items I'm going to get listed on my selling blog hopefully this afternoon....I've gotten a few new orders the past few days that I'm working on to get mailed out...And trying to finish up my Christmas decorating....teacher's gifts, etc....LOVE this time of year...I think after Christmas I'm going to need a vacation...lol

Do you recognize anyone???? We had a gathering at Jill's beautiful home yesterday with Jill and Linda Rudman (Behind My Red Door) as hosts....In attendance were Jill, Linda, me, Dana, and Sherrie....And we had a WONDERFUL time and chatted away as if we'd known each other forever....We toured Jill's home, had a delicious meal, exchanged gifts, and chatted away....

Time passed quickly and Mr. Red Door arrived to pick up Linda....He was so friendly and got a friendly scolding from several about him not letting Linda paint her kitchen cabinets red....Something she has wanted to do for some time....

Then Dana and I were on our way....What a great day and Linda just messaged me and said she is planning for next year already....Can't wait!!!!

Thank you all that sent well wishes and prayers for Taylor....She worked for 3 hrs today, but felt really bad when she got home....Her teacher told her to take the rest of the week off from classes.....She was only there for 30 minutes today....Her next surgery is on December 1st....NOT looking forward to it at all!!!

ALL my orders are finished!!! I have some special things planned, so be on the lookout.... And I'm going to a VERY special gathering this Sunday that I will share with you next week...

I want to thank everyone that has known about my daughter's surgery and sent well wishes and said prayers....

A procedure that we were told would be easy has been nerve wrecking and emotional for me and her....We had an episode where I thought I was going to have to call 911 or my daughter was going to bleed to death in front of me....It was soooo scary and happened so fast....I've never seen so much blood come so fast other than in a movie or tv....I think the memory will never leave me...I grabbed towels and had her lay in the hallway where she was...She was screaming and i was trying to remain calm or I would fall apart....My 4 yr old was there also and at the time I wasn't in the frame of mind to pay attention to how he was handling the situation....After Tim came in and a call to the doctor I went to the laundry room, called my mama (who lives 3 hrs away), broke down, and cried like a baby....I wasn't able to be upset while tending to her and then I fell apart emotionally....

So, I've kept a close eye on her....And she has to have this procedure again in a few weeks....This mother's heart hurts for her child tonight......

I just gave her a pain pill and will keep a close eye while she sleeps late into the night again tonight...So, I'm heading over to work on a final order to get out to try to fill my mind of other things....I've spent the evening getting my last orders ready for shipping tomorrow and Monday... Then I will get started on Christmas things as family things permit....

Please say a prayer for Taylor's healing....She has endured so much with this leg since she was born....It's so much to go into this late in the evening....Just include her in your prayers and especially since she has to have it done again in a few weeks....She was very sad tonight with the knowledge that it has to be done again...

SICK...Yeah, that's where I've been...Last week, Luke decided to share his allergy cold with me...As if I wasn't already suffering from having the windows up in the house....So, after being out at his soccer game on Saturday it was pretty much down hill from there....Coughing, sneezing every 2 seconds, stuffy nose, watery eyes, into a full blown head cold....UGH!!!...I sat in my recliner most of the day Sunday with a cool cloth over my eyes...I still feel a bit lousy, but better than I did...So, I'm back to working on orders and thinking about Christmas ideas....But I'm thoroughly enjoying putting up my Fall decor...I think I might get a few totes out of the garage tomorrow...

So, in the meantime....I have gone over to my selling blog and marked the remaining Fall items i have left down with shipping included in those prices....So, it you were thinking about a Fall item you might want to go check it out...:)

I Know! I Know! I should be sleeping at 1:44 in the morning, but I'm dusting and rearranging....I know I will suffer for it in the morning, but I felt that my farm table in the kitchen needed a change....

I've been working on my Fall decorating and hope to finish it this weekend with Luke having Monday off from his preschool class...So, since he has Fridays off also that means we have a 4 day weekend...Yeah! So, I will be working on Fall decorating and new orders I've gotten this week...In between a soccer game and any other family activities....What plans do you have this weekend????????

More Fall temps have finally arrived in Georgia and might stay around some this week...I even pondered over putting on socks this morning....I didn't, but I thought about it...:)

I'm just pulling out some of my personal collection of Fall goodes...I really need to add some more x-stitch pieces to my collection...I will try to do that this following year...

So what are you all up to today??? Have you already decorated for Fall? I always watch for signs at the store before I start putting mine out...Last week, I saw my first signs of decorative gourds and i knew it was getting close to time....So, with the cooler temps this weekend I couldn't resist...I'm definitely sure that we will have many more days of hot temps here in Georgia, but for today Fall is here...:)

Hi everyone! Wow! I was having a hard time loading pics tonight...I've never had that problem before....

Anyway...This is Settler's Crossin' Primitives....It is a wonderful primitive shop and the staff are so friendly....I sold my goodes on the back porch this weekend underneath shade trees....It was so quaint and peaceful!!! I had so many blog followers and facebook friends come by and visit that i felt like a celebrity for a day....My daughter was so amazed by all the excitement and enjoyed herself chatting with everyone....We both enjoyed hanging out with Dana and Ann Kuehn....It was a delightful girls day!!!!

So, if you ever get a chance to go to Ridge Spring, S. Carolina, then you definitely need to go by and pick you up some wonderful primitive goodes....The ladies are just delightful and a pleasure to spend the day with...

I did bring some things back and will be listing some things on my selling blog....I will also be getting some new things completed that i have on my work table...

It was so much fun to have a girl's day and we plan on having another one very soon.....:)

I want to THANK everyone who came and introduced themselves to me and chatted with us....You made the day extra special!!!!

No pics this time....Just wanted to let you know the car is packed...Taylor and I did it ourselves...It's a girl's trip....Taylor took the day off and we are picking up Dana (Homespun Treasures By Dana blog)......What started out as a table and 5 wooden crates kind of grew....I got an antique ironing board, ladderback chair, 2 extra crates, and 2 folding chairs in there also....All wrapped in quilts....All in my Mitsubishi....I only hope and pray I can remember how I packed it to bring it home...lol.....

Settler's Crossin' Primitives Fall Gathering!!!!

Well, the final day has arrived.....It's time to finish up and pack the vehicle....I've chosen to use my table I have in the gathering room and 5 wooden crates as my display....This was a great undertaking with trying to finish my orders and preparing for this gathering...Along with trying to decide how to do my display since it has been so long since I've done a show...But i LOVE the running around, the "I've GOT to get this DONE today" lists, and just the craziness of preparing for one....I also forgot how exhausting it is...lol....Late nights and early mornings!

But I wanted to take a few pics of my table....Even with lights on it is still dark, so i hope you can kind of get the idea...

Tomorrow, or should I say later today....It's 3:32 am....I will price everything and get it packed for the journey to Ridge Spring, S.Carolina...

Good Thursday afternoon everyone!....I wanted to pop in and share some wonderful fragrances our Walmart sells.....My sister gave me one for Christmas and then she messaged me a couple weeks ago and told me they were out again...At our Walmart, they are in our Fall decor section...And they are so yummy smelling...

Usually i buy my tarts online...But I thought I'd try a few last week...I got blueberry and cranberry chutney last week...I haven't tried the blueberry yet, but the Cranberry Chutney was soooooo good smelling and that one tart lasted 2 days...

So today i thought I'd try:

ginger spice cake
warm autumn welcome
sugared vanilla shortbread
butterscotch maple cream
cinnamon and spice
& simmering apple cider......

And at ***$2**** a 6-pack....Well, you can really stock up on them while they have them....I plan on stocking up my tart supply each week when grocery shopping...

Hmmmmm! Now which one to try today???? It's so hard to pick...I think I will put a butterscotch maple cream in the dining room and sugared vanilla shortbread in the kitchen....:)

Hi everyone...I'm so sorry I've been away from my blog so much lately....Between Luke starting school, orders, and getting ready for a wonderful Fall gathering here on Sept 24th....I've been extremely busy!!!!

I was asked by Ann Kuehn from Strawbroom Primitives to come and demonstrate x-stitching samplers and selling my goodes at her new shop (Settler's Crossin' Primitives) in Ridge Spring, S. Carolina...So we finally have another primitive shop here in the south...lol...THANK GOODNESS!! You northern friends don't know how envious we are of all your Fall and Christmas gatherings when we have very few shops here in the south...

So, I'm excited and nervous as I haven't done anything like this since before Luke was born in 2006....I do miss it!! The music, atmosphere, and primitive friends...So, if you can come, then come on...Ann said they will have the back porch all decorated for me...She is so sweet! And there will be lots of other demonstrators there on the grounds depending on the weather...So, if you come by be sure to come introduce yourself to me...I'd love to meet you!!!!!

Also, from my time away from the computer I have accumulated 70+ emails....Please know that I'm not ignoring you and I will answer every one of them...I'm so sorry for the delay!!!

Hi everyone...I'm so sorry I've been away for so long....I've been busy with getting Luke back in school, getting use to a new routine, and sleep schedule....And other things going on that I will share at another time....But I wanted to jump on here and share my new Fall Sampler...

Last year I did "Autumn in Grundy Co, Tn".....Lankford Town is an area in Grundy Co and is where a bunch of my Lankford ancestors lived....This sampler started out one way and ended up this way...lol...That is how my sampler making goes...It measures 16" x 20"...So it is BIG!....I will try to get it charted as soon as I can for a pattern...I will let you know when it is available and the price...

Hi everyone!.....I hope you are weathering the heat and humidity...It is almost unbearable here in Georgia....We even got up to 103 this week...School starts back a week from Monday, so these are our last summer days...

I have finished up all my orders for the "summer special" samplers I was offering on my blog, EXCEPT for the two new orders i got yesterday....I will get to them soon...

But, I'm now working on the items that have been piled on my sewing table waiting for my attention...I'm finishing up some sewing boxes that i've worked on this summer...And you might just see some early blue fabric in them...hmmmm!! Maybe!

Along with some samplers and small items....I'm also going to have an "early Fall special offer" to get a jump start on your Fall decorating...So be looking for it....

I've also spent some time sketching some Fall sampler ideas...So, lets see if they can materialize with needle and fabric....We'll see!

So, if I didn't have to sleep then i could get all the things I want to get done...lol...

What do I do when I run out of room on my work table?...Well, I remove the board from off my sink and make myself a make-do work table....

Awww! My wooden bowl of needfuls i have sitting by my stitching chair...All in early blue 1800's fabric....It soothes a soul and brings a smile to my face!!! My pinkeep I put my needles in, my scissors, and my glasses....I **heart** little displays like this of needful things...

Yep! I have 2 new samplers in my home...They are Lori's designs of Norforgotten Farm that she came out with last year....I'm always behind on getting new patterns stitched....And these are big....With the frame included they measure 17 1/4" by 17 1/4".....

I'm so ready for a new look around here....It's been a hard year....

Oh, what are you doing at 3:48 in the morning? Well, I'm re-decorating..lol....Or decluttering...I've been wanting to move all those boxes on my sideboard/buffet to try a more cleaner look....So, while I was chatting back and forth with my friend, Lori Triplett, on Facebook I decided tonight was the night... I started moving the boxes and now you can see my favorite salt glaze pottery candlesticks so much better...I like it for now...And then, of course, you have to start dusting also...

Overlook the brown paper bag (holding the rosehip) hanging from the fireplace....I think I may hang some dried herbs from there....

Off to see what else I can do before I go to bed....ugh!..What I could accomplish if I didn't have to sleep..lol

Hi everyone!...Are you enjoying your summer? It will be over here in a month when the kids go back to school...Ugh! Yeah, it's almost that time again...But that means that Fall will be here soon....Or at least i keep trying to convince myself of that when it's 100 outside..lol

So, I'm going to start offering some Fall items on my selling blog...I've been busy working on them for several weeks now along with non- seasonal samplers...

Yesterday I painted, sanded, and stained 22 frames...It was so hot out, but it had to be done..lol...So, now they are waiting for samplers to be put in them...Yeah, the fun part!

I'm also working on some sewing boxes, pillows,pinkeeps, etc.....So I will start adding some things tomorrow night...

Have a restful evening...I hear my evenweave and needle calling my name...lol

Happy first day of Summer!!!..I have to laugh about this because it has felt like summer since April here..We're having triple digits this week with high humidity and no rain...Ugh!!!!!..Luke and I are hanging out watching cartoons...I think after dinner some x-stitching and some movie time sounds good!!!...How are you spending your first day of summer???

I just decided on a place to put my sampler i made from Lee's design of Falling Star Primitives....Love her designs and she is sooooo sweet...I'm honored to call her my friend!!

I shared this sampler a few posts back, but hadn't framed it or anything....I bought the frame unfinished and antiqued it....But then it sat for weeks because I was uncertain of where to put it...

I also stitched mine in black, grays and pale blue so it would fit in with my color scheme....

I think I really like it here over my table in the kitchen...And I guess i will have to make one for the opposite side of the table to balance it out...

I'm having fun stitching things to sell and things for myself...Usually I sell just about everything I make and say "Oh, I will make me one another time."...But another time never seems to come..lol...And with my eyes going up to a #2 on my reading glasses i have to use to stitch by and needing more light...(My ott lamp came out recently for added light)...I decided i need to be making myself things also to have and hopefully pass down in my family someday when I'm gone....So, as I make things to sell and myself~~ I will share with you....I have sooooo many notebooks of patterns I've been collecting for years and haven't stitched, so it's time to get at it....What am I waiting for???

Hi everyone!..I wanted to share some goodies I got in the mail...Last month I signed up for a secret friendship envelope swap on Tammy's blog...I was lucky enough to get my goodies from Tammy herself....All I can say is THANK YOU TAMMY!!!!!...I LOVE it all!!! Tammy and I have the same taste and she knows my love of early blue fabrics, so she gifted me with the perfect primitive items for my home that i will always treasure...

I plan on going around and taking pics of where i put everything soon...I will share them in another post...

Hi everyone!...I hope you're having a wonderful summer so far....Even though the summer hasn't actually begun yet...I was looking at the calender the other day and it said it begins June 21st...I think we've been having summer since April here in Georgia....

I've been away from my computer the past few weeks....We have been struggling with the news of my sister in laws brain cancer the past several months and we received word that she is terminal...She will begin treatments on Monday in Jacksonville, FL to prolong her life as long as they can...

In case my new followers don't know, I'm a cancer survivor...I was given 6 months to a year when I was first diagnosed...But I went on to have my son and i have been in remission for 9 yrs now....God has blessed me!!!

So, I needed time away to wrap my mind around all of this...Karen's cancer is rare and she wiIl lose her eyesight during treatments....

It has been a really tough year with the beginning of my 13 yr old nephew's death til now....Please remember our families in your prayers...

In the meantime, I have been busy x-stitching new samplers and pinkeeps at night while my 4 yr old plays games and after i get him into bed...new things I haven't offered before....I'm enjoying the summer so far stitching random samplers i have had for years....Some I've stitched for myself, but most I've never stitched...So, be checking my selling blog....I'm going to start adding new things tomorrow evening....

I want to take the time today and acknowledge my younger brother's birthday....It is not a day of celebration for him...This is a sad day for him because his son isn't here with him on this day...There are no words of comfort for him...only endless days....I pray every day that God allows moments without sadness and memories without pain....That is the most I can ask for for him on this day....Happy Birthday Robbie!!!..I love you beyond words!!!!~~love, Jenny

Oh, my goodness!!!...Blogger can sure get us bloggers in an uproar when we can't post our posts....It has been that way for several days....But it gave me time to do other things...I've been busy getting orders finished and am down to my last one....Priority boxes are lined up and I'm putting items in as soon as I get them finished....I went to the post office this morning to mail packages and will again on Monday....I'm hoping to get everything finished and mailed by next Thursday~Luke's last day of school~Then I will be starting on all new offerings....I'm sooooo excited to be working on new things....So, if you have ordered from me then you items should be on their way next week if they aren't already.....

In the meantime, I have my newest pattern now available...by my hand*jenny lynn.....And yes, I'm Jenny Lynn...lol....As usual e-pattern is $7 and mailed pattern is $9 plus travel faire....

Hi everyone!!!...I'm trying to get back into the real world today with our normal routine...I sure wish i could have woke up this morning to the sound of the waves...But, school will be out next week and I need to get loose ends tied up with orders and get things mailed this week....So, it will be a busy week!!...I made myself a deadline, so I can get started on new items soon...Sooooo exciting!!!

I want to thank everyone for your prayers and comments you've been leaving on here and FB...The pics are of Trenton, GA where Tim grew up and we both have alot of family that live there....We lived there for the first 9 years of our marriage....WE have been in contact with Tim's brother and dad today....It is beyond words and my heart breaks for them....But sooooooooo thankful for our families while so saddened by the fatalities....It is such a small community....

I've been trying to get ahold of Tim's Aunt Louise, but have been unable to....I shared her home a few posts back with you...I pray all is safe on that side of the family!!!

We are fine!!..We're 5 hrs away and in contact with family....We also had family affected in Rossville GA, Ringgold Georgia, Cartersville, GA....etc.

So please continue prayers...The sun is shining here and all storms have passed...We got some bad ones around 5 am this morning....

The road leading to my granny's house in Trenton, GA......

Total devastation in my husband's hometown of Trenton....A small town nestled between Sand Mountain and Lookout Mtn....As the storm was approaching i was trying to call my granny and aunt that live there....We have family there on my side and Tim's....It's UNBELIEVABLE!!!!...We still can't wrap our minds around it....Tim's parents and one other home was the only 2 in their neighborhood that are liveable we were told....They are sleeping in their hallway tonight, but part of their roof is gone....The woods behind their house are gone and Tim's dad said he though it went through the backyard....A tree fell on their truck and they are unable to get out of the subdivision....

I've also been on the phone with my mom tonight as sirens were going off in their town...They are above Atlanta....Now I'm waiting and watching the radar...We're suppose to get it around 3 am....
